Miranda Delaney is the Visual Merchandising Manager at the Athleta in Towson, MD, in the Dulaney Valley Plaza. She has been working as the visual manager for several months now after transferring from the Columbia, MD store. Not only does she come in normal business hours to be a manager of associates, but Miranda also comes in after hours to work late nights to flip all the clothes in the store around. Miranda sat down with me to tell me about her role at the Athleta in Towson and why her visual job is so interesting.
I met Josh Hutchinson in Residence Tower at Towson University. We were both living in the international floors of the building and through meeting him, I learned a lot about British culture and learned about differences from other cultures and my own. I chose to interview him for this project because I learned so much about culture and traveling from him being here in Towson, so I thought by this interview I could share with everyone what knowledge and experiences he gained from attending Towson University and how it has affected his life.
At Towson University there are four different study abroad programs, each with numerous countries to travel to!
I recently attended a study abroad information session with other students and found out all about the study abroad opportunities inside those four different programs. Continue reading
I love this still shot because it exemplifies the rule of thirds. Also, I like the angle of the tiger, the slight view of the building and the tree’s position. There’s also the math building and the bare tree in the background that add to the cloudy sky.
On Monday morning Towson was covered with five inches of snow, and Towson University had closed the campus for the third time this year.
“I live so far from campus it is hard to get here when there is inclement weather but it is more inconvenient for the snow to cancel all classes because it messes up my teaching plans,” Barbara Klein, an education professor at Towson University said. “I only have three class of the same section and it only pushed us all back a day this time, I am confident we can catch up.” she continued.
Amber Theoharis is currently a co-host on NFL Total Access. Her career began at WBOC news in Salisbury, Md. Since then she has gained much respect throughout the sports journalism world to become the public figure she is today.
From University of Maryland, College Park she went on to be a sports talk radio host and sports reporter before joining MASN in 2007. With MASN, Theoharis engaged in sports casting for the Baltimore Orioles and Ravens, did live reports before and after the games, wrote columns for PressBox, reported for the Mid-Atlantic Sports Report and also hosted another sports talk show called the A-List on Baltimore’s sports radio: 105.7.
In 2012, she left MASN to join the NFL Network, a cross-country move, and still today, works in Los Angeles. I have always followed Theoharis on twitter and wanted to know how social media like Twitter has affected her through her various positions of journalism and broadcast media.
